President Muhammadu Buhari stepped out today for the Juma’at service.

It was his first time since end March when COVID-19 restrictions were imposed.

He was joined at the State House mosque by some of his aides.

In the photos posted by photographer Sunday Aghaeze, the people at the mosque were scanty.

It was certainly not the usual Juma’at service. Not the usual congregation expected at a Juma’at.

Afterall, we are still in the season of COVID-19.

And the President has been the champion of COVID-19 campaign.

He has been enjoining citizens to observe all protocols to stay safe.

Gbajabiamila To Engage State Assemblies On Domestication Of Anti-rape Laws

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, says he will engage Speakers of State Houses of Assemblies on domestications of laws against rape.

Gbajabiamila said this while receiving a delegation of 12 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), in his office on Friday in Abuja.

Gbajabiamila said that he would engage state assembly speakers on the urgent need to domesticate the Child Right Act and the Violence Against Persons Act.

“I am aware that over 20 states are yet to domesticate the Child Right Act and the Violence Against Persons Act.

“Next week, I will have a zoom meeting with all the speakers and I hope that at the end, these Acts will be domesticated across the 36 states,” he said.

According to the speaker, all the 360 members of the house are solidly behind the fight against rape.

The lawmaker said that the house was very emphatic about rape and that it was in line with the Legislative Agenda of the 9th House of Representatives.

Gbajabiamila said that the ban on sexual harassment was very low in a penalty in the country compared to developed countries.

”In some countries, just complimenting a woman can be sexual harassment depending on how she feels but here you can even stroke her hair,” he said.

He stressed the need to tighten the laws on rape, particularly as regards consent in a manner that it would be clear.

Gbajabimila said that for some women who are not so strong, rape was like a death sentence as they live with the scar for the rest of their life.

He said that the house had directed the clerk to write to the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to commence aggressive awareness against rape.

The speaker said that the house would ensure those police officers handling rape-related issues were well trained in the technicalities required so as to secure convictions in court.

Earlier, leader of the delegation Chioma Aguegbo said that since 2015, when the Child Right Act and the Violence Against Persons Act were passed, only about six states had domesticated the anti-rape laws.

She said that the CSOs had compiled a list of 100 reported rape cases across the country from January to date

Aguegbo said that the group had come to solicit the support of the house to bring rape to its knees.

She said that the group had met with the Police and would also meet with the Federal Executive Council and the Nigeria Governors Forum on the matter.

Another member of the delegation, Miss Dorothy Njemanze, said that she was a victim of sexual and domestic violence.

Njemanze said that she was now living her life to fight the crime but not much success was being recorded.

According to her, we want the government to make it a criminal case where families drop rape cases because of fear of stigma.

Njemanze also said that there was a need to make medical test to detect rape free so that all victims would be able to prove their case irrespective of social stratification.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the CSOs include ActionAid, Dorathy Njemanze Foundation, Sexual Assault Referral Centre, TechHer NG among others.

Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police (IGP), has given an order that the robbers who attacked Isanlu police station in Kogi state, killing eight policemen be fished out.

Eight policemen, including one civilian, were killed in Isanlu when a gang of robbers attacked a bank in the town on Thursday.

The divisional police officer (DPO) was among the officers killed when the armed robbers invaded the police station, setting all the detainees free before killing the officers.

Upon leaving the police station, they invaded a bank and carted away an undisclosed amount of money.

The Nigeria police force in a few tweets via its official Twitter handle revealed that the IGP has directed “a full-scale manhunt for the perpetrators of the attack”.

A team of detectives from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), the Special Tactical Squad (STS) and Federal-SARS were also deployed by the IGP to the state to arrest the perpetrators.

The IGP directed a review of the security arrangement in the state to prevent future incidents.

“The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered a full-scale manhunt for the perpetrators of the attack on Isanlu Police station and a commercial bank in Yagba East LGA of Kogi State on 4th June, 2020,” the tweet read.

“The IGP has also directed the AIG of Police in charge of the Zone-8 Police Headquarters, Lokoja, AIG Yunana Babas, mni to immediately assess and review the security arrangement in Kogi State & environ so as to prevent any future occurrence of such untoward incident in the State.”

Again, Court Upholds INEC’s Power To De-Register Parties

A Federal High Court in Abuja has held that the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) possesses the power to de-register political parties.

In a judgment on Friday, Justice Taiwo Taiwo said INEC is empowered under the Constitution to de-register political parties that failed to meet provisions of Section 225(a) of the Constitution.

The judgment was in a by Hope Democratic Party (HDP) which queried the recent decision by INEC to de-register it and some other political parties.

Justice Taiwo said HDP fell short of the requirements under Section 225(a) of the Constitution, and that the party also failed to convince the court that INEC’s decision to de-register it, as a political party, was unlawful.

The judge was of the view that, since it is a legal principle that he who asserts must prove, the plaintiff was under the obligation to prove that INEC acted unconstitutionally by de-registering it as a political party.

Justice Taiwo noted that the plaintiff did not only fail to prove its case, “the case of the plaintiff is weak and as such, it cannot be granted the reliefs sought.

“The plaintiff has the onus to prove its case, but has failed to show to the court that it met the requirements of Section 225(a) of the Constitution.

“The plaintiff ought to give particulars of malice when it alleged that it was de-registered out of malice. The court is not a father Christmas to grant reliefs that have not been sought.

“The defendant has the powers to de-register political and the defendant was right to have de-registered the plaintiff having failed to meet the requirements of a political party.”

This is the second time the judge is affirming INEC’s right, under the Constitution,to de-register political parties.

Justice Taiwo had, in a judgment on May 28 this year, held similar view in the suit by the National Unity Party (NUP), one of the 74 parties de-registered by INEC in February this year.

He held that the de-registration of the NUP, as a political party in Nigeria, was lawfully done by INEC in accordance with powers vested on it under Section 225(a) of the Constitution.

The judge also held that NUP failed to show that the exercise of its powers to de-register the party was at variance with the law and also ultra vires its powers.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has issued a new set of guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in isolation centres.

The Director General of the NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, stated this at a Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the decision to stop the administration of antiviral drugs on COVID-19 patients was brought on by latest research on case management.

He said:-

“We have removed the use of antivirals from our treatment guidelines,” adding that the trials for chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine would still go on.

Speaking further on antiviral drugs removed from the COVID-19 treatment guidelines, Ihekweazu said, “We reached out to some antiviral drugs. One that was in our guidelines recently was the lopinavir/ritonavir combination, which is a combination of medicines we use for HIV. So, we look for whatever we have to try.

“As evidence emerges and science improves, then we have to start making hard choices. There have been quite a number of studies now that have shown that they don’t really improve the outcome of this illness, so we’ve withdrawn them from the guidelines of management.”

The National Coordinator, PTF, Dr Sani Aliyu, raised the alarm over the lack of access to care for chronic medical conditions, including human immunodeficiency virus, as well as the absence of maternal, newborn, and child health services.

According to him, persons with underlying medical conditions are unable to receive needed care.

Dwango is back again with a new hit which he titled “Black Man” which tells more about the black African race.

Dwango released his previous song about a week ago which was titled “1 Minute” where he expressed himself rationally.

In this new song by Dwango, he briefly talked about the strength of a black man in our society where he spoke about the significant role a black man has occupied such as the likes of Our revolutionary leader (Martin Luther King), Our freedom fighter (Nelson Mandela), Our purpose-driven preacher (Myles Munroe), the visionary leader (Barrack Obama) and many more.

He further emphasized on the intelligence that a black man exudes, ranging from those in local villages to those in the diaspora. Dwango has really made the average black man proud by pouring out on the importance of a black man’s presence when it comes to Economy, Education, Entertainment, Culture, Morals, Environment, just to mention a few.

Also, Dwango expressed his total displeasure with the ongoing attacks, killings and molestation that has been facing many Black Man around the world and has called out to the end of racism, which he also made a reference to what Our Late Michael Jackson will always say “Stop existing and start living”.

US Gains 2.5 Million Jobs In May, Unemployment Falls Despite Pandemic

The US economy regained 2.5 million jobs in May as coronavirus pandemic shutdowns began to ease, sending the unemployment rate falling to 13.3 percent, the Labor Department reported Friday.

The result defied even the most optimistic expectations among economists, who had been expecting job losses of more than eight million and a jobless rate of 20 percent or higher.

Fijian Prime Minister declares country COVID-19 free President Donald Trump immediately cheered the data, tweeting:

“Really Big Jobs Report. Great going President Trump (kidding but true)!” The report attributed the improvements to “a limited resumption of economic activity that had been curtailed in March and April due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and efforts to contain it.”

However, as it has for the past two months, the Labor Department said the jobless rate was likely three points higher due to errors in how workers described their job status.

Still, with states allowing businesses to reopen, employment last month rose sharply in leisure and hospitality, construction, retail trade and education and health services, according to the data.

The number of workers on temporary layoff declined by 2.7 million to 15.3 million in a sign people have been able to return to their jobs. The gains came despite downward revisions to March and April that subtracted another 690,000 jobs. And government employment continued to decline sharply, dropping by 585,000 positions.

Is It Normal That I Prefer BJ To Actual Sex?

After experimenting with sex in my teenage years I realized I loved a BJ more than intercourse.

I feel safe and relaxed, getting a BJ, then shoving my c0ck in a coochie.

Most of the women I’ve been with, think I’m weird because I only get them to suck me off and won’t bother about going any further.

I’ve had some try to get me to fvck them after the BJ but there’s something about the vajayjay I don’t like.

I’ve paid girls good money just to get a sloppy, slippery, choking BJ cheesy Just have a fine face that comes with beautiful lips and I’m attracted.

Most chicks get frustrated with me but the reserved ones and the so-called virgins, love it.

Actually, they are the best c0cksuckers and the reason is clear. Lol.

I actually think 0ral sex feels better than intercourse because it is ‘raw’ and you get to cum in the mouth and not worry about anything. Cool.

So Am I Alone In This Or Are There Others On Here Like Me Who Prefer The Mouth To The Vagina?

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced that its recent survey revealed that 42 percent of Nigerians have lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Bureau said the study was conducted between April to May 2020, during the time when the index case was identified in the country. It was further gathered that the impact of COVID-19 has been most strongly felt in the commerce, service and agriculture sectors.

What Should I Do? My Girlfriend Physically Assaulted Me Over My Own Money

I have been dating a girl for about 18 months now. Very pretty but my brothers, let me tell you. Look before you leap when it comes to pretty girls.

From the minute I met this girl it has been one money request after another.

If it was small sums I guess I wouldn’t really mind, as I have always worked for blue-chip companies and can afford it.

The thing is, her requests are always very big! 20k this, 20K that, but my brothers, I have to tell you the one that has made me even disappointed in myself.

She lives with her parents, and they are the most dysfunctional family I have ever heard of.

Every day one person is fighting the other, and this my girlfriend, as fine as she is, is the most arrogant, prideful, violent & rude person I have ever met. She hounded me every day that I must get her an apartment of her own, so she can escape her home, and I agreed to but by saving monthly.

Would you believe, one night, when she was working at a bar as an usher for Guinness, she gave her number to 2 different men just because of this apartment.

My spirit kept telling me that she gave her number out, but she kept lying…only for me to catch her texting one of the men when we were at church of all places.

She even went as far as going to meet this rich man at a hotel, but the man ran away when she made that request, and I was a fool decided to finally do it for her. (I suspect she cheated on me that night and I always tell it to her face because she has cheated on me twice before)

I live on the Island and tried to get her to rent here as well, as I really want to keep an eye on her.

She has too many guys around her who live in that area, and she is this kind of person who cheats out of revenge, even over small things…..this girl refused and threatened to break things off!….bro, as a mumu I sent the money to her to rent the place and for other things, about 400K.

Ever since that money left my account, it’s like my eyes cleared!

I couldn’t believe that instead of saving my hard-earned money, I went and sent it to a girl that has cheated on me twice (or even more), lied to me, slapped me and done so many things…..but I just decided to leave everything for God, seeing as she was desperate.

The problem now is that the demands for that apartment are now becoming too much!!! The expenses just to get the place finished are such a burden on my financial and mental state.

The worst happened about two days ago, she wanted me to pay 20k.

Infact I just got so tired of bills that I kinda was stalling on it, but what happened next truly shocked me.

Would you believe this girl started punching me, slapping me and even tore my shirt cos of 20k. She even threatened to break my office laptop (working from home) until I sent the money, after that she left.

Now she is trying to apologize so that I will pay for bed and gas and the remaining things my brothers, I know u will say am a fool!…I accept…I am a handsome guy, studied abroad, I just don’t know why loneliness made me fall in love with such a sadistic user…

My only problem is, do I pay for the bed and just finish what I started or just free the whole thing and the nearly 500K I have already spent…

Please Help!

A man who abducted a teenage girl before turning her to a sex-slave has been jailed by a court.

An Abeokuta High Court in Ogun State on Friday sentenced a 30-year-old man, Lekan Felix, to life imprisonment for abduction and having sex a 15-year-old girl seven years ago when he was 23 years old.

Delivering his judgment, Justice Abiodun Adeyemi convicted Felix on two counts of having sexual intercourse and the abduction of a child under 16 years.

The judge held that the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubts.

He held that the evidence presented by the prosecution was tenable and, therefore, he had to sentence Felix to life imprisonment.

However, the state prosecuting counsel, Mr Adekunle Sodeinde, said that Felix committed the offences on February 17, 2013 at Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.

According to the counsel, the convict unlawfully abducted a 15-year-old girl (names withheld) who was living with her elder sister.

He said that Felix took the girl to where her family members or anybody would not locate her whereabouts, and was having sexual intercourse with her for two years.

“The victim was sent on an errand by her elder sister on her way she met the convict who bought drink for her. After taking the drink she passed out, and few hours later on opening her eyes, she met herself at Felix’s house at Ijoko village in Owode-Egba.

“Felix took advantage of her by sexually abusing her and was using her to work as a labourer on his farm land for two years before she regained her senses,” he said.

Sodeinde, however, said that Felix confessed that he used charm on her so that she would not know where she was or think of going home.

He noted that the offences contravened Section 32 of the Child Rights Laws of Ogun and Section 362 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun 2006.
