My Near Rape Experience – Naijaloadite Shares Experience

$
0
0

Good day, after going through a lot of back and forth within myself I finally decided to put my story out there. This is not in a bid to garner sympathy but in the hope that my story could help someone get out of a similar situation.

Growing up as a young lady in Nigeria is quite difficult especially one who receives a lot of male attention. I experienced a lot of abuse while growing up. I was beaten, fingered, molested and harassed as early as age 4.

At a point, I tried to speak up but I wasn’t believed, so I became accustomed to it and didn’t bother to mention it again.

My first near-rape experience occurred at age 16. The perpetrator was a course mate who happened to like me and had been asking me out for a couple of months. Despite my continually rejecting him, he was persistent.

At a point, he started stalking me, then calling me with strange numbers and calling at odd hours like 1 or 2 am. I just overlooked it all and felt he would get tired at some point.

The day that the incident occurred I was going to school at around 5 pm to study for a test. On my way, I noticed the guy following me.

He than came up to me and asked for me to hear him out but I refused.

We kept arguing for about 3 hours on the road, I kept trying to get away, but he wouldn’t let me, I even tried to get the attention of a few passers by but no one bothered to help (they probably thought it was a lovers quarrel).

At a point, I began crying and begging him to let me go, but he refused.

A friend of his saw us and came up to us and asked me to just hear the guy out. I finally agreed because I was so exhausted and drained. They both suggested that I and the guy go and talk in his friend’s room which was just across the road.

I agreed, and we went in, I sat on the bed and listened. This guy proceeded to kneel and beg me to date him, I agreed just so he would let me be.

The next thing I knew was that he had jumped on me and started groping me. I struggled, cried, and pleaded with him, but he didnt stop.

He went on to rip my trousers open and pull off my panties. I struggled furiously and even tried to screamed but that earned me some dirty slaps. I felt defeated. All I could think of was how much I hated the helplessness I felt which was so similar to what I felt as a child.

Suddenly, a thought popped into my head about a rape survival story I had seen a while back, I decided to try it out. I stopped struggling and just acted calm, I guess he took that as good sign and stopped hitting me. He held my two hands with his one hand and used the other to pull down his trousers.

He then began to rub himself on me, I prayed and made a split-second decision. I pulled my knee up and hit him in the balls as hard as I could before he could recover I pushed him off, jumped up and began to scream as loud as I could, I carried a standing fan which was close by and smashed every single thing I could in the room.

People came rushing in and that’s how I was saved. It was so crazy that a guy had to help me with something to cover up because I didn’t even realize that I was naked from the waist down.

A few years later, I had my second near-rape encounter. One night while going to the hostel after seeing a friend, I was accosted by a security personnel. He claimed that I was out too late, and he would have to take me to the security office, I was surprised because that was around 9 pm and there were still other people around so I argued with him, a colleague of his intervened and insisted that I follow them to the security office.

I agreed to go but I kept my distance from them. While walking, the security officer suddenly pushed me into a dark corner, pressed himself against me and began to tell me all the things he was going to do to me for arguing with him.

I began to struggle and cry, I couldn’t believe this was happening again. He tore my gown open and then my panties. When I tried to cover myself, he slammed my head and hands against the wall with such force that my wristwatch broke.

Once again faced with a situation I felt helpless to do anything about, I calmed myself down and said a silent prayer. I then began to pet him. I told him I wanted this too but it was all too sudden, he didn’t listen to me at first but went on to pull down his trousers he then tried to penetrate me but I kept begging him that we should please hold off a bit

Eventually, he listened and said I was right because he doesn’t trust uni girls so it would be best for him to use a condom considering that he’s a family man.

He held me and kept running his hands all over my body and told me that he wants me so much and I should promise that I would come see him the next day when he calls me. He even threatened to harm me if I didn’t do as I promised.

I did as he asked, gave him my number, promised to be back and ran as fast as my legs could take me.

The next day, with the support of friends I went to the school authorities, reported, and he was subsequently sacked.

Despite years of abuse, these two events helped me see that I didn’t have to always be a victim but that I can also be a victor. I was not as helpless as I thought.

The major point I would like to point out from my story is that aggression is not always the best option, often at times, we can fight these rapists by being calm and rational. I went on to watch rape survival stories and realized that so many rape survivors avoid being raped, killed or further harmed by trying to reason with their attackers.

Also, allowing an attacker to feel that he is in control can give one the opportunity to take him unawares and take back control.

Being angry, fighting back, insulting him, or threatening to expose him when the opportunity comes can just lead to more violence or him even going as far as trying to shut you up permanently.

How Long Should A Guy Keep Communicating With A Lady He Plans On Dating

Hello guys, I’m Kelechi and I need urgent advice on a dating matter.

There’s this girl I met in one of my school’s WhatsApp group we started chatting and all that but after a week or two her phone was faulty, and we were incommunicado for over a month.

So just last weekend she got a new mobile device, and she chatted me up, and we are back communicating we could have met, but we can’t due to the lockdown. She resides in Benin while I reside in Lag and no one knows when schools will resume for now.

I plan to fuck her and probably date her when we resume and as a sharp guy, I’ve built up emotions in her, grabbed her attention, and even asked her out jokingly.

We talked over the phone yesterday, and she was like she can’t wait to meet me in school.

The issue now is that I don’t know if I should keep communicating with her so to keep the pent-up emotion and attraction alive but I feel that if I should continue communicating with her now and then I may become needy, available, end up becoming her text or chat buddy and the emotion and attraction may fizzle out.

And as they say, if a guy doesn’t grab his window of opportunity with a lady he may lose out.

So please what do you suggest I do.

Should I keep communicating now and then or just ones in a while?

Note: I Need Solid Advice From Experts And Experienced Guys Or Ladies In The Dating Game.

Nigerian Lady Recounts How Her Sister Died After They Were Both Kidnapped And Raped

$

A Nigerian lady took to Facebook to narrate a scathing experience of rape and kidnap she and her late sister were victims of.

According to Talking Esther, the incident occurred 2 years ago after they went to get diesel. She described it as the “longest night she will ever experience in her life” as it was full of torture, horror, pain and tears.

The lady who disclosed that she narrowly escaped, said her sister wasn’t so lucky as she didn’t survive the torture they were both subjected to.

Esther recalled being in coma for 8 days over the incident which left her father broken.

She wrote:

2 years ago I and my sister was kidnapped
Some of my friends might know her…
We went to get diesel and a lot happened that night. That was probably one of the longest night I’ll ever experience in my whole life.. It was full of torture, horror, pain, and tears

I remember I was raped!!!
Yes rape! Don’t give me that look
I couldn’t do a thing, just nothing but cry, plead and wail ..
They did same to my sister and I couldn’t do a thing… I just sat there with a gun on my head.. I failed in my duty as a big sister

I pleaded with them to let us go but no
I passed out at some point
We were assaulted (the picture below)
My sister died
She didn’t survive the whole torture
I escaped by a hair’s breadth
My dad was devasted ( looking at his once vibrant daughter bleed from.the nose and ears with wounds all over her head, her neck almost broken, a tooth gone and worst still she lay in coma for eight days)
My family cried blood and tears

But at the end God pulled me through
I reclined into my shell
I was a funny person but I became more that was to hide my pain and scars from the world .

I found out I couldn’t be like this forever
I couldn’t stay in the dark forever
I came out and continued making friends but still when I walk in there dark and see guys behind me I still run.
You can’t blame me you know

So here I am today alive, making memes and cracking jokes on Facebook but broken
Most times I wake up all sweaty and afraid
Nightmares don’t cease
I cry myself to bed
Only my pillow knows my pain..

The most pain is that I can’t even keep a relationship … One minute am good and happy and the next I don’t even know who I am again..

Why am I sharing this?
It took me a lot of courage to really come out…
The pain never goes!
Put your sisters in her shoes before you think or raping or assaulting anyone
They’re never the same after that
The pain lasts a lifetime

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo says he is prepared to walk off the pitch if he is racially abused again in his career, after revealing he was called “all sorts of names” by an opposition player in China.

Ighalo, on loan from Shanghai Shenhua, reported the abuse to the Chinese FA but after no action was taken he decided to “let it go”.

The 30-year-old, who has called for “justice to be done” following George Floyd’s death in US police custody, now says he would be ready to take further action should he be subjected to racist abuse on the football pitch.

“If it happens to me I would report it to the referee and see what they do, but if they don’t take action about it then I’m going to walk off because it should not be done to any player or anyone in the world,” he told Sky Sports News.

“In one game in China I got called all sorts of names and after the game, I didn’t shake his hand. I walked straight into the dressing room, I was angry, I reported it to the FA.

“I didn’t press forward with it, I just let it go because I’m just this kind of guy. I don’t like to drag issues out. But I don’t think it should be condoned in any country.”

Jadon Sancho has described his fine for getting a haircut in his home, in breach of the Germany’s restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus, as an “absolute joke”.

The 20-year-old and his team-mate Manuel Akanji were fined by the German league after photos emerged of them having a trim in their own respective homes, with neither the players nor the hairdresser wearing any personal protective equipment (PPE) in the pictures.

Sancho issued his response on Twitter after the fine was confirmed saying: “Absolute joke DFL!”

A statement from the German league (DFL) said:

“The DFL has fined Manuel Akanji and Jadon Sancho.

“The players from Borussia Dortmund had obviously violated general hygiene and infection protection standards at home hairdressing appointments and in particular the medical-organisational concept of the DFL task force.”

The DFL statement added:

“There is no question that professional footballers also have to have their hair cut. However, this currently has to be done in accordance with the medical-organisational concept.”

COVID-19: Lagos Will Run Out Of Bed Spaces In 3 Weeks – Commissioner

$

0

Akin Abayomi, Lagos commissioner for health, on Friday, said that the state will run out of bed spaces at isolation centres if it continues recording high number of COVID-19 cases.

The commissioner made this known at a press briefing in Ikeja, the state capital.

Lagos has so far recorded a total of 5,542 cases, out of the 11,516 the country has recorded.

The health commissioner revealed that the recent spike in the number of positive COVID-19 cases was due to increased testing capacity.

“We’ve been testing more. We’ve been escalating our capacity to test for COVID-19 and what we’ve found is that the more we test, the more we find, which is a reflection of the fact that COVID-19 is spreading within the community and we’re finding more cases than we can manage eventually when we project,” he said.

“If we carry on with the rate of positive testing that we are obtaining, we’re going to run out of isolation beds in our established isolation facilities.

“Therefore, we are projecting. If we keep getting 150, 200 positives everyday, in another two or three weeks, even though we’re opening new isolation centres all the time, in time, we’re going to run out of beds.

“And this has happened all over the world; it’s not just in Lagos or Nigeria. Every other country has reached the same tipping point where you now have to transition from managing patients in an isolation centre to managing patients who are not that unwell at home, and reserving the isolation centres for people who are feeling unwell and need to be monitored more closely by medical personnel.”

Abayomi also said that Lagos is working on developing strategies for managing asymptomatic patients at home to address the projected rise in number of cases.

JUST IN! Court Asked To Disqualify Obaseki From Edo Election

The Federal High Court in Abuja has been asked to disqualify Governor Godwin Obaseki from contesting the forthcoming governorship election in the state for allegedly forging his university certificate.

The election is scheduled to hold in Edo State on September 19.

The suit was filed on May 29 , 2020 by Edobor Williams, Ugesia Godwin and Amedu Anakhu.

Joined as respondents to the suit were the governors ’ party, the All Progressives Congress , the Inspector- General of Police and Obaseki himself.

The plaintiffs alleged in the suit marked , FHC/ABJ / CS/ 553/2020, that the University of Ibadan certificate which he attached to his Form CF . 001 which he submitted to INEC for his first term election in 2016 was forged.

They contended that this was “ contrary to the provisions of section 182( 1) ( i ) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999” .

According to them, Obaseki was, therefore “ not qualified to run or seek the office of Governor of Edo State under the platform of the 1st defendant (APC ) in the governorship election scheduled to hold in the state on September 19 , 2020”.
