Arsenal and Tottenham are set to submit bids of around £100 million to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer.

Magpies boss, Eddie Howe, is adamant that Isak is not for sale.

But clubs will be hoping to take advantage of their financial situation.

Newcastle chief executive, Darren Eales, has admitted that the club may have to sell some players to comply with profit and sustainability rules (PSR).

“If we’re going to get to where we want to get to, at times it is necessary to trade your players.

“In the world of PSR, everybody has their price,” Eales said.

Isak has been in impressive form this season, scoring 14 goals in 21 Premier League appearances.

The 24-year-old, who is mainly deployed as a centre-forward but can also be used as a winger, is under contract with Newcastle until 2028.

He arrived at St James Park from Real Sociedad in a £60 million deal two years ago.

Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has claimed that marriage isn’t ideal for musicians.

According to him, opposite sex fans would be less comfortable with a musician if they are married.

Featuring as a guest in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Terry G described opposite sex fans as the “juice of the music industry,” stressing that without them the music industry would be boring.

He said,

“I don’t think marriage is for people like us [musicians]. If I get married, it would restrict me from my female fans.

“Females are the base of the music, they are the juice of the music industry. Remove them and you are bored.

“If a music artist announced his marriage publicly, it would affect his female fanbase. Once you are married, you are out of the box. In Nigeria, they say once you are married, you are out of the market. So automatically you are no longer hot.”

A Nigerian man has revealed the reason he ended a relationship with the love of his life.

The young man identified on Twitter (X) as @uncle_retired, said his ex-girlfriend was always not in support of him offering financial assistance or support anybody apart from her.

According to him, the girl named Zainab would always chastise him if he render financial help to any person or family, claiming he’s wasteful.

@uncle_retired, stated this in response to a Twitter user that asked; What killed your feelings for someone you were once madly in love with?

He said;

“She hated it when I helped anyone financially. As long as I’m not giving her the money, I shouldn’t give anyone else. She would always point out something unnecessary that she could do with that money I just wasted as she termed it.

For instance, I could give a family 20k to buy food and she will say “you just wasted that money on people that may be lying to you. The money I could have used for a spa day”. You guessed it, she was a “Zainab” too. WITCH.”

Chelsea boss, Todd Boehly, has shared his opinion on why the club’s fans are getting frustrated with the Blues.

According to Boehly, the Blues’ supporters seem to expect too much from the management, adding that these high expectations lead to frustration.

The American spoke to Forbes, when asked about the Chelsea project.

“The good news is people care so much. And the bad news is people care so much!” he said.

“That leads to times when they’re frustrated with the team and the owners…

“I get that, but we just have to continue to stay the course.”

Bandits have reportedly kidnapped at least 30 children at Kasai village in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Channels Television reports that Batsari is one of several security frontline local government areas in the State where activities of bandits, and other criminal elements have been on the increase almost daily.

At the time of filing this report, government and security agencies were yet to comment on the issue.

A resident of the area told Channels Television in a telephone call that the fresh attack on the children took place in the early hours of Monday.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, is also yet to respond to enquiries.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has told his squad to “leave their ego aside” if they want to win the Premier League title.

Arteta set up the Gunners in a more disciplined and defensive approach to secure a 0-0 draw at Manchester City on Sunday.

The result put them in second place ahead of Wednesday night’s fixture against Luton Town.

Arsenal are away to Brighton this weekend, the first in a series of tricky away games in a run that includes Wolves, Tottenham and Manchester United.

When Arteta was asked if Arsenal’s performance at City, in which they registered 27% possession and six shots, was a sign of their evolution, he said:

33-Year Old Man In Trouble With Court Over Alleged Possession Of Indian Hemp

The Police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned a 33-year-old man, Miracle Anosike, before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged possession of Indian hemp.

The defendant, whose residential address was unknown, is facing a two-count charge of being in possession of Indian hemp and smoking the substance.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Ayodele Adeosun, informed the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 7, at about 8.00a.m at the Mobikan Hotel, Ajangbadi, Ojo area of Lagos State.

Adeosun said the defendant allegedly had in his possession a substance suspected to be Indian hemp.

“The defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by smoking a substance suspected to be India hemp with the intent to cause havoc in the hotel,” he said.

He said the offences contravened Sections 411, and 168 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr T.A Popola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He held that one of the sureties must either be a Chief Imam or a company Director.

Popoola adjourned the case until April 30, for mention.

At least thirty children have been reportedly kidnapped by suspected bandits in Kasai village, located in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Batsari local government area has been battling with increased activities of bandits in recent times.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday and there as been no official statement from the government and security agencies.

According to a resident of the area who spoke to Channels Television, the kidnapping took place as the children went to gather firewood behind Kasai village.

He said:

“Yes, the attack occurred yesterday, Monday, in the morning hours. It all began when the children numbering up to thirty went behind the Kasai village to secure firewood which their parents would use to cook food for them.

“Unfortunately, some suspected bandits intercepted them and took them to an unknown destination.

“We do hope and pray that peace and security will be restored in our state.”

Manchester United have announced that Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof have sustained injuries ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Thursday.

The Red Devils made this declaration in an official statement released on Tuesday.

In a statement which reads;

“Manchester United centre-backs Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez will be out of action for at least a month due to muscle injuries.”

“Sweden captain Lindelof was withdrawn during the second half of last Saturday’s Premier League game against Brentford with a hamstring problem.”

“Victor was replaced by Martinez after 69 minutes, as the Argentina international made his first appearance since early February.”

“Unfortunately, Licha has now sustained a calf strain in training and is unavailable for the next few games.”

Controversial American rapper Kanye West has deactivated his Instagram account following his rants about legally changing his name to Ye.

The rapper’s social media page, which boasted 20 million followers, is no longer accessible.

This move comes shortly after the 46-year-old star expressed frustration on the platform about people still pressuring him to use his old name, despite his name change being officially approved by a Los Angeles judge last October.

In a message sent to Justin LaBoy, Ye stated,

“I’m closing my Kanye West Instagram account.” He emphasized, “My name is Ye. No brand or numbers gonna force me to call myself what they want me to still be.”

Ye also mentioned that his name would be changed to Ye on Instagram shortly.
