Kinsmen of President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura have pleaded with Nigerians to stay out his private life and pray more instead for his quick recovery.

The kinsmen made the plea in various messages to Nigerians during a visit by The Punch to Daura, the president’s hometown in Katsina state. Leading the kinsmen Lawan Saidu, Ahmed Haroun and Seidu Awalu, who are elders in Daura, who said the President should be left alone to recuperate.

They also urged Nigerians to pray more for God to grant Buhari good health. “Anyone can be sick, so why is everybody attacking the President as if he is not a human being? The last time he was in the country, he told Nigerians that he was ill and had never been that ill, so what else do you want him to do?” Awalu asked.

An unnamed senior official in the Emir of Daura Umar Farouq Umar who said the president’s privacy should be respected. He said: “We offer prayers for him here on a daily basis and every Jumaat; we pray for him in the mosques and eagerly look forward to his safe return to Nigeria very soon.”

Katsina State chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress Mallam Tanimu Saulawa said: “I believe the President had done what was expected of him constitutionally before his medical trip. This is our President and Nigerians, irrespective of tribe or religion, should show the spirit of nationalism.

“We should rather intensify prayers for him for his recovery because the national responsibilities on him are enormous.’’ Sources heard earlier that the Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO) Lagos state chapter urged Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state to stop negative comments about President Muhammadu Buhari’s health.

The state coordinator and the general secretary of the organisation, Mr Waheed Odunuga and Mr Adekunle Aderibigbe, respectively, made the appeal in a statement they jointly signed on Friday July 14, in Lagos.

According to them, the governor should have left behind the 2015 Presidential election outcome and move forward in the interest of the nation.

Police in Ogun State has arrested three suspects identified as Saibu Popoola, Aliu Ajiroba and Jimoh Ijiola in possession of two human skulls.

The State police, through its Spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspects were arrested when policemen attached to Ayetoro Division were on a routine patrol.

According to the PPRO, the duo of Popoola and Ajiroba were accosted on a motorcycle along Idagba Olodo Road, with a bag which looked suspicious.

Oyeyemi, said a search was conducted on them and the two human skulls were discovered in the said bag.

He said the two were arrested on the spot taken to Ayetoro Police Station where they confessed to the investigators that the skulls were given to them by Jimoh Ijiola who live in Erinpa area of the town.

Oyeyemi said the Divisional Police Officer, Ayetoro Division, Makinde Kayode, thereafter, led detectives to the resident of the suspect where he was also arrested.

He said, “In his own statement, Ijiola denied being the person that gave them the skulls, but said that they all got them from neighbouring Republic of Benin and that their intention was to use it for money rituals.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the case to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Abeokuta, for further investigation and possible prosecution of the suspects.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said it is “possible” that out-of-contract striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could sign a new deal.

The former Sweden international, 35, was released in June after he not being offered a new contract.

He has been recovering from knee surgery at United’s training ground.

Mourinho said: “If the decision is to stay and wait until December – he can’t be back until them – why not wait? We are speaking and changing ideas.”

Ibrahimovic signed a one-year deal in July 2016, but an extension was not triggered after he suffered a season-ending knee ligament injury in April.

He scored 28 times in 46 games in all competitions for United.

Mourinho also said he wants to sign “one or two” more players this summer.

United have spent a combined £106m on Benfica defender Victor Lindhof and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku during the transfer window, and have been linked with three midfielders – Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan and Tottenham’s Eric Dier.

Mourinho said: “I can’t say any word about a Chelsea player.” However, he added that United “don’t have our door closed”.

“We need more,” he said. “We wanted four – 50% of the job is done. We need two more players, at least one. Everything is so difficult.”

Mourinho confirmed that United tried to sign 24-year-old Spain striker Alvaro Morata last month but could not agree a fee with Real Madrid.

The Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said that most Northern are suffering due to lack of education.

The group also called on elders in Northern Nigeria to warn their youths to guard their utterances.

MASSOB said this while reacting to reports that a group of Northern youths wants the United Nations (UN) to list Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as a terror group.

Edeson also wondered why those calling for IPOB to be listed as a terror organisation have not reported Fulani herdsmen to the UN.

According to Daily Post, he said “These Northern youths who want United National to list IPOB as a terrorist group are confused and directionless group who do not know the meaning of terrorist and what constitutes terrorism.

“MASSOB will not blame them because they are limited by lack of education as most of them are illiterates,uneducated and charlatans who did not know the difference between terrorism and self determination.

“The Northern elites are using them to cause trouble because they are desperate to control Nigeria by all means by using Northern youths to intimidate Nigerians when they feel their hold on to power is threatened, and these Northern group forgot that they have ruled Nigeria for 20years from 1979 to 1999, there was no complain from the Southern part of Nigeria.

In this retro series, Naij.com bring to you the story of Emmanuel Nwude who committed the largest fraud in the country by selling a non-existent airport to a Brazilian for $242 million between 1995 and 1998.

The rise of internet fraud commonly known as 419 is one phenomenon Nigeria has come to be associated it. Before internet fraud became a global issue, Nwude had committed one of the biggest scams in the world.

Specifically, his fraud was the third largest banking scam in the world after the Nick Leeson’s trading losses at Barings Bank, and the looting of the Iraqi Central Bank by Qusay Hussein.

How was Nwude able to carry out this jaw-dropping scam and convince Nelson Sakaguchi who was the director of the bank to part with so much money for the purchase of an airport?

Nwude was a former director of Union Bank of Nigeria and this position made him privy to some links, information and documents that other persons would not be aware of. He impersonated the then governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Paul Ogwuma, and connected with Sakaguchi informing him of a mouth-watering deal of Nigeria’s plan to build an airport in Abuja.

Nwude, pretending to be the Central Bank of Nigeria governor, told Sakaguchi that he stood of chance of pocketing $10 million commission when the deal passed through. Sakaguchi paid $191 million in cash and the remainder in the form of outstanding interest.

Nwude’s accomplices were Emmanuel Ofolue, Nzeribe Okoli, and Obum Osakwe, along with the husband and wife duo, Christian Ikechukwu Anajemba and Amaka Anajemba, with Christian later being assassinated.

The criminal gang was able to convince the director of the Brazilian bank to part with the money.

How did Sakaguchi find out he was a victim of one of the largest scam in the world?

In 1997, the Spanish Banco Santander wanted to take over the Banco Noroeste and a joint board meeting was held in December of that year. Officials of the Spanish bank noted that half of the Brazilian bank’s capital was at Cayman Islands unmonitored. This raised questions as this was two-fifths of Noroeste’s total value.

Investigation began and was carried out in Brazil, Britain, Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United States. Although the sale of the Bank still went on as the owners of the bank paid $242 million bill, the nak still collapsed in 2001.

The birth of the EFCC

In 2002, the then president, Olusegun Obasanjo saw to the establishment of an anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Nwude’s fraud case one of the first to be investigated and in 2004, all members of the gang were arraigned before an Abuja High Court on 86 counts of “fraudulently seeking advance fees” and 15 counts of bribery related to the case .

Although they pleaded not guilty, they were warned not to attempt to bribe court officials as it was suspected that money was going round.

In 2005, Amaka confessed to helping Anajemba and was asked to repay $25.5 million and also sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

Nwude attempted to bribe Nuhu Ribadu, the then chairman of the EFCC, with $75,000 cash but the latter refused and Nwude was charged with attempted bribery as well as attempt to kidnap a prosecuting witness.

Following Sakaguchi’s witness, Nwude finally pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five concurrent sentences of five years and was also asked to pay $10 million fine to the federal government.

He was released from prison in 2006 and filed a case to reclaim his assets insisting some of them were acquired before the criminal act. He has so far been able to reclaim $167 million.

Aftermath

A land dispute in the town of Ukpo in the Dunukofia area with Abagana community turned bloody when over 200 men invaded the community killing four policemen and the security guard at the construction site in 2016.

The Anambra state government fingered Nwude as the ringleader and he was subsequently arrested and arraigned on 27 charges including murder and terrorism. He is being held at Awka prison as the court case is still on.

While Nwude’s criminal exploit was not the first in the country, it signified the rise in international financial crime and popularise the advanced fee fraud syndrome with Nigeria’s name associated with it.

A Nigerian music fan and possible follower of rapper Lynxxx have called out the rapper for doing a secular song titled “Ghana Girl” after notifying the whole world that he’s turned his life over to God.

As you know, rapper Lynxxx was a popular secular rapper who was also called a bad guy. But some time last year, the rapper made an official announcement of his encounter with the most high God and his decision to turn a new leave. He even did a couple of gospel tracks in which he talked about his faith in God and his newly found purpose.

Lynxx also made it a point of duty to admonish girls to keep their bodies sacred, as their bodies are supposed to be the temple of God, not a tool for sexual immorality.

But it seems the rapper recorded a song after that time titled “Ghana Girl.” So, this fan noticed and inquired of the rapper to know why he did a secular song after denouncing it. He asked;

“’Thought you said you were born again? Abi Ghana Girl na gospel song? Am waiting for your answers oo; Oga Lynxx.” But Lynxxx slightly put a “bad guy” side on display, as he indifferently replied the fan saying; “Bros, you go wait tire.” Hmmm.

It seems like a funny story , but this is a serious issue that I have been worried about. As early as when I was 15 years old I have always experienced married women chasing me.

It started from my neighbor’s wife at the age of 15. She would always want me to come over and play at her place (at first I thought she was just been nice) until she touched me wrongly.

She would always want to kiss me and make me touch her boobs. I stopped going to their house because I felt helpless when she kissed me and I couldn’t stop her and I didn’t want to be in that position ever again.

It got so real when I got admission into the University at the age of 16. I was approached by my female lecturer whom I know she would definitely be married. She told me I was handsome and smart, I was happy to get such compliment from her. She offered to drop me off at the school gate which I accepted.

On getting to the gate she requested she drop me off at my house, I didn’t feel comfortable about it but she insisted. We got to my street and she parked. She requested for my phone contact and requested we meet at a guest house the next day after lecture. I refused and she was not too happy about it. I got down form the car and she drove off. The next day she saw me in class was was acting strange.

I couldn’t even look in the eyes. I was so uncomfortable throughout her lecture. After the class, she called for me in her office, which I knew I must go. I got there, met another female lecturer in her office ( They were close friends) because she was comfortable telling me that I refused her proposal in front of her.

I pleaded with her to let me be and she said okay that if that is my wish she would let me go and not disturb me anymore but I should just know the kind of opportunity I just missed.

A week later, I saw her friend ( the older lady in her office) who was much more younger than she is but also married. She called me up ( she recalled my name so well ) and she told me not to mind my lecturer that she would help me talk to her that she won’t disturb me and she would not temper with my grades as long as I start hanging out with her and promised to take good care of me (from Frying pan to Iron pot).

I couldn’t help it, I was too young to handle all that pressure so I informed my parents who didn’t think twice and told me that I am nit going back to that school. ( That was how I dropped out)

The next year I got admission into a polytechnic, where I found peace for about a year. The second year was another drama with one of my Female lecturer (She was much more old than the former) she had very beautiful long grey hair and was very smart.

I had always admired her hair and looks but not to the extent of wanting anything to do with her. ( Everybody admires her hair and look).

Fortunate and unfortunate for me, I caught her eyes and she called me up. To cut the long story short, she asked me out and I refused with style. This time I was wise enough not to inform my parents ( I was going to handle the situation).

I didn’t give her a straight answer. I didn’t say Yes nor No, I just played along and became her friend. She calls for me and I answer her but I always try to avoid her inviting me to anywhere. I was able to meet her beautiful daughter who just traveled down from UK for her hols.

I was so close with her that i told her “instead of me dating her why can’t she just allow me date her daughter” she would just smile but I knew that smile meant you are not getting off so easily.

It got to a time she started inviting me over to her house and all I did was to promise to come and failed her not knowing she had other plans for me. She caught me by the balls by giving me a carryover I can never forget my score (19/100).

My eyes almost popped out when I saw the result. I rushed down to her office and complained to her and she said in her words ” You think you can say no to my proposal and go scout free? ”. I had to rewrite the paper the next year and luckily she was asked to take another course. I got 89/100 by the way!!

Fast forward to recent time…

I think I have a sign board on my forehead saying “Married women holla me” ..I can count over 30 married women whom have disturbed me over the years.

If I didn’t know better I would think I was being set up. Recently, most of the married women on my matter are my ex who don’t want to give up on me.

I tell them things that will make any woman stay away from you forever but it doesn’t work on them. Some would get angry insult me and tell me I feel too proud but chat me up months later like nothing never happened.

I go as far as lying to them that I am married too and I don’t have time for them but I get replies like ” that is the fun part none of us will feel guilty” or “It makes me want you the more” or “You know I love you more than your wife (weird I know but I get it ) etc.

I don’t know if I am the problem or they are.

Tankers drivers numbering over twenty (20) used their trucks to block the only road in Odukpani, Odukpani local government area of Cross River State. The road links the State with other parts of the Country.

The incident that occurred yesterday disrupted traffic for several hours and the presence of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) did not make any difference as their efforts yielded no positive results.

DAILY POST investigations revealed that some tankers’ drivers committed an undisclosed offence and were escorted by the Assistant Inspector General of Zone six Monitoring units for arrest. Rather than submitting themselves for arrest, they drove recklessly and blocked the only access road to Cross River State.

“The association of Petroleum Tanker Drivers in Calabar have taken over the Odukpani junction, the only Road that links Calabar, Cross River State Capital city with other parts of Nigeria simply because some of their members were arrested by the police for some wrongdoings,” an eyewitness told our correspondent.

The same road, it was gathered links Calabar, part of the Cross River Southern Senatorial District with the Central and Northern District.

Road users travelling from within and outside Calabar could not go out or come in.

“This road is a federal road and is blocked so arrogantly because one ‘Hausa’ tanker driver was arrested for wrongdoing! Can this rubbish be allowed to happen anywhere in the North,” Chief Asukwo Etim told DAILY POST.

“The government must urgently begin to adopt measures that will permanently put an end to this nonsense, the wings of these tankers’ drivers must be clipped by all means. Owners of tankers whose drivers are caught flouting Government orders must be severely punished and sanctioned to serve as a deterrent to others,”,he stated.

“However, what Cross Riverians and non-Cross Riverians are currently passing through in the hands of what so many have described as ‘Nigeria most powerful union’ again reemphasised the need for all and sundry to support the Governor Benedict Ayade’s Super Highway initiative. The realisation of that project would definitely be a game changer for Cross Riverians and non Cross Riverians alike”, he further stated.

The Nigerian government has stated that no one would be left out in the campaign to enlarge the tax revenue.

She said some beggars were earning millions and that “proceeds from begging are taxable. You are supposed to pay taxes even if your means of income is begging”.

Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun said this in Lagos at a lecture at PWC’s Business School, with the theme: ‘Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) Interactive Session for Executives and Business Owners.’

She said to ascertain the income status of the companies/individuals and their lifestyle, investigators would rely on information derived from Bank Verification Number (BVN), records of property ownership, records of foreign exchange allocation, and records of company ownership from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), among others.

Adeosun said: “We are using some firms to trace assets internationally.The investigators’ findings will enable us to compare the income and how much tax the company/person is really paying, and that gives us lots of information.

“But we encourage people to come up and pay their taxes willingly. You can register a high-end car. It tells me something about your income.

“So, we look at your tax returns. If you registered Mercedes E-Class and you are paying N100,000 tax, then something is wrong. Those are red flags. We now have the capacity to assess people accurately.

“We are trying to build an economy where we have oil and other things. It is going to be oil plus and wider economy”.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has officially denounced his Christian name, Matthew, Leadership reports.

Obasanjo said he should no more be called by it because he is not a tax collector like his biblical namesake.

Accordingly, he adopted only Olusegun Okikiola Aremu as his names, stressing that names have lots of connotations in African setting.

The former president went on to say anybody who does not want to see his (Obasanjo’s) eyes red should stop calling him Matthew.

He stated this in Abuja on Friday, July 14 at an event organised by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in commemoration of his 80th birthday. Obasanjo clocked 80 years in March.

His words: “When I was born in my part of Nigeria, the system was that after eight days, you must be given a name and for people to know that you were born into a Christian family, you will be given one Hebrew name.

“My mother and father decided to name me Matthew but when I grew up, I started asking myself the meaning of Matthew.

“Not only does it not have meaning as long as I am concerned, the biblical Matthew is a stupid tax collector. Anybody who does not want to see my eyes red should stop calling me Matthew.”

He commended the NSE presidential system of election and governance, wishing that it could be introduced into Nigerian politics.

Also speaking, the president of NSE, Engineer Oliver Tagbo Anyaeji noted that Obasanjo successfully initiated and pioneered the establishment of an engineering and technology university (Bells) as well as the state-of-art presidential library in Ota, Ogun state, which considered as first of its kind in Africa.

“While it will be pretty difficult to bring to the fore all the achievements of this world acclaimed achiever, I wish to mention that President Obasanjo initiated the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP)in 2005 and directed by policy that Nigerian engineering firms must get at least 25 percent of exhausted project scope,” he stated.

Abubakar made the comment in her address in Kano on Friday, July 14, at a stakeholders meeting on “Buy Made-in- Nigeria Products” organised by her ministry in collaboration with the federal ministry of information and culture.

A banker, who only gave his name as Kingsley, has lamented the loss of his newly wedded wife, Adaoma, to gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

Adaoma and her husband were abducted on June 11, 2017 while on their way back to Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, from Ekpoma, Esan -West in Edo State.

The deceased and her husband wedded on April 29, 2017 in Port Harcourt.

Narrating how they were accosted by heavily armed kidnappers around Rumuoji in Emohua LGA of Rivers State, husband to the deceased, who insisted that his name should not be mentioned, explained that he tried to escape from the kidnappers with the reverse gear immediately they came out of the bush.

“When they saw that I was making an attempt to escape, they began to shoot at the bonnet sporadically and the engine of my car stopped immediately. They came and dragged us out of the car and moved us into the bush.

“The kidnappers were in two groups; one of the groups took my wife to one direction while the other took me to another direction. We were attacked and taken away at about 3 .40pm. I was asking them (kidnappers) about my wife ’s whereabouts and they assured me that she was with the other group.

“By the time I saw my wife, she had collapsed and her face was swollen. I became afraid and begged them that they should release us so that I could take her to the hospital. They gave me the beating of my life. That was about 8 pm.

“When I continued to beg them, they allowed me to call a friend of mine (James) to drive down to the main road that night to pick my wife and rush her to the hospital. The kidnappers ordered me to carry her to the road while they followed me.

“ The entire place was dark and I carried my wife and tried to wait and have a rest, the kidnappers would again begin to beat me. This continued until we got to the road. I was told to lay my unconscious wife by the side of the highway with some leaves used to surround her for easy identification.

“They immediately marched me back to the bush. My friend, who knew that we were kidnapped, travelled from Port Harcourt that night to the point where my unconscious wife was dropped.

He eventually took her to the hospital , where she was confirmed dead, ” the devastated Kingsley added.

The husband, who was eventually released by the hoodlums around midnight, told our correspondent that he was still shocked that Adaoma, who he married five weeks earlier, was killed by kidnappers.

Describing her as an easy -going, God – fearing person and a devout Christian, the husband explained that he was beaten to a pulp after the kidnappers spoke with his pastor, adding that his pastor had cursed them for abducting me and my wife.

“They gave me another round of beating when my pastor spoke with them through my phone and cursed them. My wife must have been punched in the face or hit several times with the butt of a gun. They were dragging her along the bush. That might have caused her to collapse and died, ” he said amid tears.

He explained that he had been traumatised by his experience in the bush and felt that the kidnappers could still waylay him again.

However , the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, said he was not aware of the incident and promised to reach the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Emohua, where the incident happened.

A thirteen-year-old boy has been found dead in an uncompleted building beside his home after his mother allegedly rained abuses on him.

The teenager, simply identified as Rokeeb, was found hanging on a noose last Monday, around 9am, at 25 Ekimogun Street, Apelehin under Isokan community in Bariga area of Lagos.

Neighbours told Saturday Sun that Rokeeb could have sunk into depression after his mother launched a tirade at him in which, she allegedly told him to go hang himself if he liked.

On the fateful day, no one expected that such a terrible thing would happen, because Rokeeb was his usual self, doing the call to prayer in the local mosque situated at Kehinde lane, close to his house.

Rokeeb’s Quranic teacher simply known as Alfa Sambo, said the boy, after performing the religious assignment that morning continued reading the Quran in mosque, but suddenly left when he saw his mother going out.

“He told Alfa that he wants to go and help his mother carry her load,” an eyewitness told Saturday Sun. “Rokeeb’s mother sells noodles at a bus stop in Bariga. Few minutes after, we heard the mother shouting and abusing the boy, I was confused as to what could have gone wrong with Rokeeb and his mother. But I didn’t go out to confirm what the cause of the outburst was.”

Another neighbour said one of Rokeeb’s siblings told her that the deceased asked their mother for money, but she told him she did not have. Then Rokeeb started grumbling and complaining about life, saying that he was tired of living. That apparently annoyed the mother and made her reply in anger that if he was tired of life he should go and hang himself, the neighbour said.

Moments later, Rokeeb’s body was found dangling from the ceiling in an uncompleted building near the house.

“We heard some residents shouting for help that Monday morning,” a resident who simply identified himself as Kunle, said, adding: “we found Rokeeb hanging and struggling for breath. We took him down and rushed him to Gbagada General Hospital, but he died at the emergency section before medical help could get to him.”

Neighbours said Rokeeb’s mother is a single mother of three. Rokeeb was a product of her first marriage, which crashed. She remarried and had the last two children. That marriage also crashed, so, currently she is not with any man, one said.

Saturday Sun’s efforts to reach the woman for comments were unsuccessful as she was said to have been at large, since the incident. No one could tell her whereabouts by press time.

For the disagreement between the executive and legislative arms of government to end, the National Assembly has revealed three things the Presidency must do.

According to The Nation, fresh efforts to end the rift between the two sides which is threatening to cause a shutdown of government has led to a list of what Acting President Yemi Osinbajo must do for peace to reign.

1. Magu’s removal

First on the list is the removal of Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

2. Withdrawal of ‘no-going back on Magu’ statement

This must be accompanied by withdrawal of a statement credited to Osinbajo through Kaduna state governor Nasir el-Rufai that there is no going back on Magu’s nomination.

3. Presidential compliance

The Senate also wants the Presidency to always accept the resolutions, decisions and even summons by the legislature. Among these is that the Presidency should force Power, Works and Housing Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola to withdraw a statement that the lawmakers say attacks the integrity of the National Assembly.

The Nation reports that the conditions were given to a mediator by the leadership of the Senate.

It quoted a top source as saying that the conditions were the main points of talks between Osinbajo and Saraki last week.

The source said: “We are getting closer to a win-win situation between the two arms. In fact, when the mediator met with Saraki, he said he had “met with Osinbajo and he nurses no personal grudges at all.

“He also said what the senators wanted was that the Senate be respected in accordance with its constitutional mandate by complying with its resolutions, decisions and summons.”

The source said: “As for compliance with the resolutions or decisions or summons of the National Assembly, the Presidency gave a commitment to the Senate leadership to give due regards to the legislature.

“You know the Acting President is a lawyer and he believes in the principle of separation of powers.

“On Magu, the Acting President insisted that only his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari can determine the fate of the Acting chairman of EFCC.

“He said the Senate would have to wait for the return of the President.”

“Regarding a statement credited to el-Rufai, the mediation has revealed that the governor ran his own errand because nothing warranted the comments in the mandate given to him to represent the Acting President. Neither the Presidency nor Osinbajo can be held liable for el-Rufai’s comments.”

The acting president had jetted out to London on Tuesday, July 11 to meet with the president and according to The Nation, the focus was on national development especially as it affects the cabinet.

According to a presidency source who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the whole cabinet cannot be dissolved “because the nation cannot afford such a luxury now”.

However, some ministers may be reshuffled.
